Don't think so but they're definitely closed right now 😩
Yes, you can.
They don't right now, they used to but it didn't go over well.
Don't know only been there once
Relaxed, home style restaurant, but the service was poor - 2 stars. Salmon, which was the special that day, was nearly unrecognizable and didn't taste like salmon - 0 stars. Traditional fare, country fried steak, fried chicken, etc., was much better - 3.5 stars.
Uncle Buck's was just what we wanted after paddling on the Shenandoah. My daughter wanted spaghetti and they had an all-you-can-eat spaghetti special. My wife and I wanted burgers and they have a nice variety. The cheese melt burger with caramelized onions on rye and onion rings really hit the spot. I was also tempted by the BLT and grilled cheese. Great place for people watching with large windows on the street. The servers were great, too.
Not ideal for large parties. We had 10 in our group and it overwhelmed our server and the kitchen staff. Food was brought out in wrong order (salads after entree), some entrees were cold, and sides were missing. Server had a nice attitude at all times and tried to make corrections.
Seated quickly, but sat for 15 minutes watching folks who came in after us have thier orders taken. Sat for another 10 minutes after the waitress said she'd be right with us, ended up leaving at that point. Disappointed, as the menue looked great.
Good service, good food. Party of 13 including kids, and everyone was happy with the food. We would come back.
Ate dinner there for the 1st. EXCELLENT. Had breakfast there the next morning which is always the best in town 😊
Good food, good service. We had a small group that went between games at a baseball tourney and got in and out pretty quickly. I would go back if I'm in the area again.
Breakfast anytime, and it's the real deal. Cooked like you want it. Excellent service too.
Uncle Buck's was great. Very good food and wine. Friendly efficient waitresses. Betty was ours. Cozy ambience. Loved it.
Place was awesome. Food was definitely some comfort food. Our waitress was so friendly and the gentleman that sat us was from my neck of the woods. It's a must go if you're in the neighborhood
Service was amazingly slow. Like really really slow. Food was excellent though.
Had a great dinner, food was fast, hot and delicious. Server was nice and fast. Great moment when our waitress handed my son the etch a sketch and he asked how to turn it on. LOL
The facilities are OK. Food are not acceptable. Water has some weird taste. Fried Chicken is hard as stone. Service super slow. Literally waited 10 minutes at the door to pay... people seem nice, maybe they are under stuffed...
Love going here. Food and service is great! Price isn't bad either!
Good food, great people and service. Old school, nice chairs.
A great gathering place for locals that makes an outsider feel at home. Food was fantastic... home cooking and perfect portion's
Best wings and bbq and the bucks bbq sauce is official ...gonna come here every time im in the area for sure
Great food and service. Perfectly cooked rib eye steak n fried green tomatoes were excellent. Definitely stop here when in the area
Food is great as well as the fast service try the chicken salad sandwich. They also have a full bar.
We have never had such an experience before. Our group had been waiting for the order for more than an hour. We were on vacation and could do it, but we were hungry! The waiter tried to avoid us all the time which made us laugh out loud, but we've demonstrated fantastic patience. The food was great, home-made style.I think you shouldn't select this restaurant if you are the group of 10+, because they are just not ready for this. The same we read in other reviews, but unfortunately it was too late to move somewhere else.
When here for lunch. I got a crab cake sandwich with chips and a pickle. The crab cake was really thin. It was salty and a bit on the spicy side. The wait was long. The staff and atmosphere was nice, they just appeared to be short staffed. My wife got a Reuben with fries, her meal was pretty good. Mine not so much.
Good price tasty food ...
We enjoyed our meal at Uncle Buck's. My son ordered the French onion soup and full house salad (huge with egg). I ordered the special, a blackened trout that was very fresh and perfectly cooked. Was a little disappointed with the smallish portion of mashed potatoes (hey, I'm Irish) but both the corn and potatoes were good. We skipped dessert as there were not a lot of options and none of the pies appealed to us. Would visit again.
Great staff good! Good food fair price. You had me at. Breakfast All Day😜
Great place to eat. Downtown Luray, VA. Food was superb. Down home cooked food. Waitresses were very personable with customers.
Just okay. A bit pricey for the quality of food. They're open later than most places, so if you're stuck looking for a 9 o'clock bite, this will do. Oh yea, bring cash, they don't take cards... and their ATM beats you up for $3.
We’re from out of town and stopped here for supper before going across the street for a movie (highly recommend the Page Theatre). Nice atmosphere, especially with the Christmas decorations. We had the specials - open faced prime rib sandwich and the pork chop. Both were above average and unexpectedly delicious! The potato cake side was especially good.
Hearty wholesome foods at good prices, all made fresh and taste great. Has an old timers feel and the attendance is great. Breakfast served here all day.
My opinion of Uncle Buck’s is similar toy opinion of our visit to the town of Loray; modest yet quaint with a lot of personality. There was an interesting selection North Eastern beers on the cheap, and a decent spread of menu items. The wife and I got ribeyes and the kid got The B&J. Really the all-star if the whole meal was the mac’n’cheese. The steaks were well cooked, but a little charred and mine was almost 50% fat. The other sides were good, but a little plain. The horse-theme decor was a neat touch. Of the local eateries open past 8, definitely worth a consideration.
The people were nice, it was clean. But 4 of my family said their food was just ok. 6 of us said our food was good( me included).
Worst fried chicken dinner I've ever experienced. Overcooked the meat right off the bone. Mushy fried apples, canned green beans with no flavor. I've traveled all over the country and like to patronize local places but so sorry we went here. Do these people with good reviews believe this is how food should taste? Ugh. Steer clear.
Good family food. We had a group of seven and everyone was happy with their meals. The corn fritters were a big hit.
GREAT food and GREAT prices! Love it.
Awesome little place. Great food and friendly waitress.
Amazing service, food was good. Great drinks! A good cheap option if in Luray
To begin with the restaurant has a very interesting, homie, friendly atmosphere. The menu breakfast was extensive including crab meat omelettes, eggs with trout, and of course good ol Southern grits and biscuits. Very reasonably priced and gracious portions. The food was good. Only issue was the biscuits were a little bit too cool. They even have Etch A Sketch for the children to play with while they wait! The service was great in the coffee was wonderfully hot.
Went for some much needed sleepy breakfast and was not disappointed. The food was great and good portions too. The staff seemed a little inattentive as we were sat away from what seemed to be the regulars but was still nice. Highly recommend.
Food was good. Service friendly. Price friendly. The wait to actually get our food was a nightmare.
Good soup and fresh salad. Prefect spot for a quick and tasty lunch.
Food is great. Service is slow. It took about 20 minutes after we finished our meal to get our check when there were only 3 table of guests.
The waitress was amazing and the food was just as good! Home cooked meals and knowledgeable employees helped us find local things to do. Country fried steak, corn fritters, stuffed mushrooms, chicken fried chicken and Mac & Cheese were delicious.
Excellent food at a great price. Breakfast, all day, to delicious and tender prime rib. Clean and great old fashioned service. Lots of free parking at rear of restaurant. A locals favorite! Very reasonable pricing. Wonderful service. Food was hot and well prepared. Order came to the table quickly. Full bar service for those who want a tasty drink with alcohol. Don't forget to get a delicious homemade milkshake to go!!!
Great breakfast, friendly service, easy parking. Also has a bar/club attached. Many stores to visit nearby make this a great saturday brunch spot.
I went for comfort food and Uncle Bucks delivered! A quaint dining space with very friendly service and no fancy frills food, just good home cooked hospitality. I have a feeling this is going to be my favorite new spot for good food.Price point was very reasonable, menu variety was great and they serve breakfast all day.
The staff and atmosphere are absolutely amazing in here. You come in as a stranger leave as family. Make sure that you get Betty to make your drinks
Definatly great food...great people. You MUST stop
Great breakfast!! Not many places have buckwheat pancakes anymore but Uncle Buck's does and oh so good!! Both my new husband and I left left there very satisfied after our hearty meal...ready to see the town of Luray! We were there for our honeymoon and that was the perfect fixin' to last us until a late lunch/early dinner later that day. It was just after new years so the atmosphere was very homey with all the Christmas decorations still up and fireplace lit. Very friendly and welcoming staff!
Pretty nice evening. Excellent food, good prices, friendly staff, awesome beers, cool location. Highly recommended
Food was excellent. I had the chicken salad with chicken strips. Homemade ranch was really good, also, I had the mustard with bacon bits dressing. Very good. Another person had chicken fried steak she said was g8. Wife had homemade Mac and cheese and barbecue pulled pork, she loved it. Over all 5 out of 5 stars. Also, the fries were beer battered, the best I've had by far. Burger was good also. They need help in the serving department. Waitress was great, but she was overwhelmed.
Great place.. great food and great people. My family of four went for breakfast. The staff is so friendly. They have a good selection of breakfast foods on their menu and everyone absolutely loved their food. The country fried chicken was so good my thirteen year old nearly stole all of his older brothers. We will be stopping by more often on our way through town. Bring cash just in case. I am not sure if their credit card machine is down or if it's wasn't working that morning but they were only accepting cash or checks. This place is totally worth a trip to the ATM.
